Whether it is a natural disaster, mass shooting, or violence, how much can we take? How much can our heart take? This question is different for everyone. I do know that with all of these things happening, we can start to find a place for our hearts to heal to rest.
I believe that there is more good in the world than bad…..let’s find it!
Where to find that place
I know that there are many support services and resources you can turn to, my office is one of them, but that is not all. Find others in your life to lean on, love, support, and heal together! Find ways to fill your heart again with love. You can pray for love, meditate for love, and even send your love to the world from your heart. It won’t happen overnight, but it does start to heal. I believe that music is a way to connect with others and yourself to find beautiful messages. Here are two messages that I love:
“Pink Acceptance Speech 2017”
“Logic ft. Alessia Cara and Khalid Perform ‘You Are Not Alone’ 2017”
A Place for Rest
Turn off the T.V, stop surfing the web, don’t open Instagram or Facebook, change the subject and scene if you need to. Get outside, read a book, cook a delicious dinner, work out, spend time with loved ones, watch a funny movie, play with your animals, go to a dog park, have time to rest. We need to rest what our brains and hearts take in, especially at these times. Give back if you can, hold open a door for someone, wave when you get into the next lane when driving, smile at a stranger, and be kind to yourself and others.
Take a look at all this good!!!

About the Author
I am genuinely a happy person! I love to brighten someone’s day and I surround myself with positive people and together we can pass that positive energy back and forth. With that said, Yes, I do have my days/moments where I am just not feeling it, that’s when I lean on my friends and family and of course comfort food and Netflix!
