I wanted to share with you ways to have a healthy mind. I will be referring and referencing the work that Dr. Dan Siegel has done with “The Healthy Mind Platter.” (http://www.drdansiegel.com). I find it very helpful to use with my clients as well in my own life. We all work hard to find a balance in life. To help us have a healthy mind we should include a healthy balance of these 7 things!
- Sleep time-Give the brain rest.
- Physical time-Move our bodies to strengthen the brain.
- Focus time-Focus on tasks in a goal-oriented way.
- Time-in-Reflecting time.
- Down time-Not-focused. Let our mind wander and relax.
- Play time-Spontaneous or creative.
- Connecting time-Connect with other people.
